What is caving?
Bovec valley is one of the most popular caving spots around the area. Julian Alps are limestone mountains, so it has a very diverse cave system. The tour inside the mountain starts with a walking part, then there are some parts where we have to climb on cliffs or even be lowered with a rope to be able to see this enchanted underworld. We offer two types of tours.

Srnica - „Cave of Love”
This tour starts with a short walking tour from the village of Pluzna. The entrance of the cave is quite narrow, but it gradually becomes more and more spacious. The name comes from local rumors, as throughout the centuries thousands of shells left marks in the limestones that look now like hearts.
During this tour we walk, sometimes climb through narrow holes. At the end we arrive 40 meter higher than the entrance, so we will repail. We also take a look at the “Waterfall of Secrets” (Slap Virje) as it is within a 5-8 minutes walking distance from the parking lot.
The tour takes 3-4 hours.
Mala Boka
The entrance of the cave is near to the stunning Boka waterfalls (106 meter) from a short walking distance from the Boka bridge. We start with climbing a few cliffs then we go through a very narrow hole to get inside the mountain.
Down in the dark we can only see with our head lamps. As we go further even more beautiful sights unfold. At the hardest part participants will be lowered down with a rope. The lowest part of this tour is a small pond, we rest here a bit, then we climb back up the same way we came.
The tour takes 3-4 hours.
